Buck Moon Evening Paddle

6:30PM - 9:00PM July 26th

Join Moonwater Creative's Shawna Porter on an evening paddle at Chiefswood as you watch the moon rise over the Grand River.

The full moon on the 26th of July known to the First Nations of the broader Algonquin region and beyond as the Buck Moon, coincides with the time that Younger Male Bucks rapidly begin growing their

new antlers in velvet.

All Vessels and safety Equipment are provided to guests, a 30 Minute Safety Talk is given at the start of each morning prior to departure.

What Should I Bring?

It is recommended that all participants bring the following items:

--> A refillable water bottle.

--> A snack or something small to eat.

--> Appropriate clothing for the weather.

--> A towel left in your vehicle in case of tipping.

--> A change of clothes.

--> Sunscreen if appropriate.

$60 Dollars Per Person

Please arrive at Chiefswood Park 10 Minutes prior to the start time for registration and attendance.
